As a rule, baby food is different from the dishes for the rest of the family. But that doesn’t have to be the case. There are many ways to gradually incorporate solid foods into a child’s menu.

They can put the food in their mouths with their fingers  and eat what they like and as much as they want for the time being. You have to give him enough time to do this, too.

Breast milk and solid foods

Depending on the age of the child, their diet can be supplemented with breast milk, because this way you can be sure that they receive all the important nutrients,  even if they do not eat everything that is on their plate.

You have to thoroughly remove bones beforehand and you should also avoid certain spices, as they could be too intense for your child. But small children can eat almost anything!

In addition to certain foods on the family table, you can also feed your baby the following foods. It doesn’t have to be porridge, you can simply cut this food or feed it with a spoon.

  • Noodle soup prepared differently
  • Pieces of fruit
  • Omelette or tortilla
  • Cheese cubes or cooked ham
  • steamed vegetables
  • shredded boneless chicken
  • rice
  • pasta
  • white fish, cooked and boneless
  • toast
  • Cereals
  • loaf

If your child does not yet have teeth, they will still try  to eat the food as much as possible. It will at least try and this is good for strengthening gums and jaws.

Be patient and take the time to feed your child. It will happily taste solid food before it can actually eat or bite.
